These Terms & Conditions govern your use of VAMSHAVAANI, a private family-tree and communication website created for the Shambhat family. By registering for or using this site, you agree to these terms.

1. Purpose of this site

VAMSHAVAANI is a private, non-commercial platform built and maintained by the family for the family — to record the family tree and history, share events, photographs and news, and help relatives stay connected. It is not a commercial product or service.

2. Who may register

This site is intended for members of the Shambhat family and their relatives. New registrations may be reviewed and approved by a family administrator before access is granted, to keep the family’s information within the family.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, please let us know through the Contact Us page. A family administrator may suspend or restrict an account that appears to be misused, at their discretion.

4. Acceptable use

When using this site, please:

• Only submit information about yourself, or about relatives, that you have the right and family standing to share.
• Keep photographs, posts and family-tree details accurate, respectful and appropriate for a family audience.
• Not attempt to access another member’s account, bypass the site’s login requirements, or interfere with the site’s normal operation.

5. Family tree edits and accuracy

Family tree information may be added or corrected by members, but changes are reviewed by a family administrator before they are published, to help keep the tree accurate. Historical family details are recorded on a best-effort basis and, given the nature of genealogical records, we cannot guarantee they are complete or free of error. If you spot an error, please submit a correction or contact an administrator.

6. Content you contribute

Photographs, posts and news items you upload remain associated with you as the contributor. By uploading them, you allow the site to display them to other logged-in family members. A family administrator may edit, decline, or remove any submitted content — including family-tree edit requests, gallery images, or posts — to keep the site accurate and appropriate.

7. No warranty

This site is provided on an “as is” basis, run and maintained on a best-effort basis by family volunteers. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the family and site administrators are not liable for any indirect loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site.

9. Changes to these terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated as the site evolves. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
